Do you handle legal aid matters?
No.
Can you otherwise act for me?
MCL Legal is managed as a small firm which enables us to work closely with our clients providing a personal service. This also means that it is sometimes not possible or desirable to take on all matters that come throught the door, particularly if your matter is urgent. But if we are confident that our experience can assist you and that we can add value to your problem, then yes, it is likely that we can act.
What happens if I need a specialist?
If your needs are unique and we form the view that additional experience and skills are required, we will work with you to find a suitable specialist. In some circumstances it may be appropriate for us to instruct a Barrister on your behalf. We have a good network of Barristers in Melbourne who are happy to act for our rural clients.
What happens to my file when my matter is finished?
We will store your file for seven years then destroy the file without notice to you. Wills, certificates of title and other important documents will be stored by us in a secure deeds room as part of our service to clients. You may, if you wish, prefer to collect your file from us on conclusion of your matter.
